2013년 AEJMC KACA 세션 논문 공고

한국 언론학회의 무궁한 발전을 기원합니다.

다름이 아니오라, 2013년  미국 워싱턴 디씨에서 개최될 AEJMC (Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication) 학회 기간동안 KACA (Korean American Communication Association)에서 발표할 논문을 아래와 같이 공모함을 알려드립니다. 논문 제출 마감일은 4월 5일 저녁 11시 (미국 동부시간 기준 )입니다. 기존 AEJMC 마감일은 4월 1일이지만, 저희가 여러분의 편의를 위해 4일 더 연장하였습니다.

full paper가 논문 선정시 우선적으로 고려되며, 논문 초록만 제출하실 경우에는 연구 결과까지 포함한 extended abstract의 경우에만 고려합니다. full paper나 extended abstract 모두 논문 제출 마감일이 4월 5일 (미국 동부시각)입니다.

논문 형식은 APA 6th 양식이며, 커버 페이지와 참고 문헌등 모두 포함하여 double space로 30장 이하입니다. 논문을 제출하실 때에는 (1) 저자 정보를 삭제한 리뷰용 전체 논문과 (2) 저자 정보가 있는 1장짜리 커버 페이지 (논문 제목, 저자 정보)가 필요합니다. 

이번 학회에서는, 8-9편의 논문을 선정하여 리서치 세션을 운영할 계획입니다. 발표 세션은 8월 9일 3시 15분부터 4시 45분까지로 AEJMC측에서 결정하였습니다. 참고로, 모든 발표 논문과 발표자는 AEJMC 학회집에 수록됩니다. 논문 주제는 한국과 관련된 모든 저널리즘, (매스) 커뮤니케이션 주제가 가능합니다. 다른 세부 사항들은 아래의 공지를 참조하여 주시기를 바라며, 질문이 있으시면 언제든지 제게 연락주시기를 바랍니다 (yang223@indiana.edu). 감사합니다.

Call for Papers

2013 AEJMC Convention

Washington DC

August 8 - 11, 2012

KACA Research Session: August 9 (Friday), 3:15pm-4:45pm

The KACA invites submissions of original papers that focus on various aspects of media and communication studies related to Korea. Various theoretical orientations and methodological approaches are welcome. Consistent with the APA style, paper should be double-spaced and be 30 or less pages (including references, tables, and all notes).

Guidelines for All Submissions

1. Deadline: All submissions must be made no later than 11pm, ET, April 5 (Friday), 2013.

2. Categories of Submissions: Two categories of submissions may be accepted: full papers (30 pages maximum including references, tables, figures, and all notes) and extended abstracts (5 pages plus references, tables, and figures). Full papers are preferred. Extended abstracts should contain literature review, research questions/hypotheses, a detailed method section, and actual findings (NOT expected findings). Abstracts only with literature review or research questions would NOT be considered.

3. All submissions must include a separate cover page and an abstract with approximately 250 words. A separate cover page should include the following information: Title, name(s) of the author(s), affiliation, mailing address, email address, and phone numbers.

4. Author Identification: Names and all information that may identify the author(s) should not appear anywhere in the paper other than on the separate cover page.

5. Submission Method: All submissions should be in either MS Word or PDF format and sent to Sung-Un Yang by email: yang223@indiana.edu.

The best paper will be selected and awarded a small cash prize ($100).  This year, the KACA will have only one competitive research session and will accept 8 to 9 papers.  If you have any questions regarding the call for papers, you may contact:
