강연 제목: Social Media Prescriptions for Well-Being: Current evidence and future possibilities
발표자: Robin L. Nabi 교수 (University of California, Santa Barbara)
강연 내용:
Building from the notion that media use can be harnessed to meet emotional coping needs, Prestin and Nabi (2020) introduced the concept of media prescriptions, or the idea that media messages that evoke particular positive emotions can be prescribed to mitigate stress. The theoretical background of media prescriptions along with their operationalization and evidence of their effectiveness in samples of both undergraduate students and U.S. adults will be overviewed. Consideration of how media prescriptions align with social media usage, including algorithmic curation, will be addressed.
